Our future depends on the sustainable use of raw materials and natural resources.
Paragraphs
Text
Our ecological, social and economic future depends on how we use resources and raw materials. This applies to emerging, developing and industrialised countries alike. We need sustainable strategies to face challenges like resource consumption, the destruction of ecosystems, conflicts over water, forests, energy and minerals, or growing pressure on urban centres and nature reserves.
Text
We develop ideas for the sustainable use of resources
adelphi works to develop and implement solutions for the sustainable use of raw materials and natural resources. In addition to our commitment to the circular economy and resource efficiency, we are active in biodiversity protection, sustainable water management and responsible mining.
We advise stakeholders at all levels – from local to global – on sustainable water management and develop solutions for climate resilience and stability.
We are active in policy related to biodiversity, land use and nature conservation. We analyse, design and implement stakeholder dialogues and communication initiatives for biodiversity protection.
To this end, we examine the ecological, social and human rights risks related to mining and develop solutions to prevent and mitigate them.
