Ute Werner is Senior Manager in the field of climate policy, with a focus on the reduction of greenhouse gases, global carbon markets, and market-based approaches to climate protection. She has extensive experience in developing and implementing climate protection projects across various sectors such as renewable energy, climate-friendly technologies for households in the Global South, and waste management. Additionally, she has specialized in monitoring and reporting on the achieved emission reductions in accordance with international standards.
Before joining adelphi, Ute managed decarbonization projects at the climate protection organization atmosfair gGmbH. Her regional expertise spans Africa, Latin America, and Asia, where she successfully collaborated with local partners and authorities to implement sustainable climate protection measures on the ground.
Ute holds a PhD in chemistry. Her scientific background in chemistry and physics enables her to combine precise technical knowledge with practical project implementation.
