Mathilde Wilkens works as Analyst at adelphi on climate policy with a focus on adaptation, especially urban climate resilience in the Global South. She is interested in the interface of science and policy to advance the necessary measures for adaptation to the impacts of climate change in the Global South and to deepen the German discourse on loss and damage.
"The consequences of climate change disproportionately affect people in vulnerable situations. The focus of German and European efforts to support adaptation to these consequences should therefore be vulnerability-sensitive and gender-transformative. At adelphi, I am encouraged to set this focus and ensure greater visibility of vulnerability."
