Expanding the evidence base: Mapping climate and health financing is a collaborative project lead by SEEK and supported by Africatalyst and adelphi consult with the objective to generate a deeper understanding concerning the intersection of global climate and health finance. During the course of the 6-months project a clear framework was established to set the scope for the nexus and guide further analysis. Based on this, several knowledge products were being produced to make the generated insights accessible to a broader public based on data analysis of project level funding data by donors such as multilateral climate funds, multilateral development banks, health multilateral funds, philantropical institutions as well as Development Assistance Committee (DAC) donors. Further, several case studies were conducted to reflect country specific demands and needs. First insights have been shared already during the project in high level meetings to inform relevant stakeholders and decision makers.
adelphi's role was to provide the data on health related projects in climate funds and to project future supply based on the analysis of strategic documents as well as informing the discussion around the scope of the nexus. In addition, adelphi took the lead in producing a flagship report summarizing the project outcomes and providing recommendations for future funding.
