Climate change has arrived in Germany. If the German government wants to live up to its own claim to leadership in climate politics, there are two main areas for action: CO2 pricing can promote the long-term goal of decarbonisation, and a preventative foreign climate policy can avoid exacerbating international crises. This journal article for "Politische Studien" discusses both of these topics.
