European companies in the manufacturing sector are slow at implementing recommended energy saving measures (ESM) following their energy audits. To find out why, the AUDIT-TO-MEASURE consortium carried out a survey of manufacturing companies and energy auditors across five EU Member States: Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain.
The report presents findings on the actual implementation rate of ESM, the mindset of companies regarding energy efficiency investments and the decision-making processes leading up to implementation. This groundwork will provide a factual base for the ensuing engagement and support activities of the AUDIT-TO-MEASURE project.
