As part of its ongoing collaboration with JETRO on energy and climate policy trends and developments, adelphi produced two types of ad-hoc briefing papers tailored to the client’s needs.
The first type consisted of six rapid-response analyses based on secondary data, prepared upon request. These papers drew primarily on a daily news digest, third-party political background reports, statements from key stakeholders (such as industry associations and trade organisations), and a weekly social media analysis of relevant topics.
The second type included four in-depth analyses, which incorporated both primary and secondary data. These papers combined detailed research of publicly available information with insights gathered from expert interviews, including policymakers, industry leaders, and other specialists.
The analyses covered a wide range of topics, including renewable energy (with a focus on wind and solar), hydrogen, electromobility and e-fuels, as well as carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS).
