On behalf of the GFA, adelphi consult supports the GIZ ClimGov 2 project in updating climate risk assessments for Algeria’s agriculture and forestry sectors. The project “Support for the Implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement in Algeria – ClimGov 2” aims to strengthen implementation of the Paris Agreement in Algeria by enhancing the country’s capacity to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and to adapt to the adverse effects of climate change. adelphi supports the adaptation component of ClimGov 2 by updating climate data and projections for Algeria and developing climate impact chains for two sectors, using tools such as the GIZ Climate Risk Sourcebook and the GIZ Climate Risk Tool for Agriculture and Food Systems (CRISP). In addition, adelphi designs and facilitates stakeholder workshops and produces project reports in French.
