Vivianne Rau works as an Analyst at adelphi on the topic of climate adaptation. More and more actors realise the importance to adapt to the consequences of the climate crisis. How a resilient future might look like in practice and where transformative change is needed, is the subject of ongoing negotiation and debate. In her projects on municipal climate adaptation and adaptation policy, she sees many opportunities to shape negotiation processes toward more inclusive and equitable development for the benefit of vulnerable people.
“What motivates me is a future that is climate-resilient and socially just. At adelphi, I can actively participate in the process of shaping climate adaptation in Germany and ensure that issues such as transformative climate adaptation and environmental justice are considered from the beginning.”
