Bibiana García is a Senior Manager at adelphi working on green economy and sustainable business, with a particular focus on corporate responsibility. Amongst other tasks, she deals with implementing human rights due diligence at transnational corporations along the supply- and value chains.
Prior to commencing her position at adelphi, Bibiana gathered experience in human rights and sustainable business. During her time with an ESG rating agency in Berlin, she analysed and evaluated the sustainability performance of businesses. In her capacity as legal trainee at the European Centre for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR) in Berlin, Bibiana assisted victims of human rights violations perpetrated by corporations in the global south through providing legal intervention. During her employment at CEJIL (Centro por la Justicia y el Derecho Internacional) in Costa Rica, she worked on international human rights and assisted people suffering from human rights infringements in Mexico and Honduras in front of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
Bibiana García obtained her Master of Laws in German and European Law at the Humboldt-Universität in Berlin. For her master dissertation, she conducted a comparative legal analysis of corporate criminal liability in Germany and Spain. Previously, she studied political science and law at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and the Westfälische Wilhems-Universität in Münster. During her studies, Bibiana focused on international law, international human rights, and corporate criminal responsibility.
