Anna Erbacher works as an Consultant at adelphi on the topic of climate adaptation, specifically focusing on climate risk analyses, urban climate resilience and sub-national adaptation strategies. Her current work focuses on strategies for promoting urban resilience in Southeast Asia and strengthening nature-based solutions as part of climate adaptation projects. Anna is convinced that climate resilience can only be achieved through the interaction of climate adaptation, greenhouse gas reduction and biodiversity protection, and is therefore particularly interested in solutions that move at the interface of these fields.
"Climate adaptation and mitigation are still frequently targeted separately. Through my projects at adelphi, I have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution by promoting the integration of climate adaptation with emission reducing measures, biodiversity conservation and social equity aspects. By addressing these aspects collectively, we can unlock synergies that lead to more effective and impactful outcomes."
