The transfer methodology is a structured framework developed within the RESIST project to facilitate and guide the process of transferring climate adaptation solutions between various European regions.
RESIST is a five-year, EU-funded project aimed at strengthening the resilience of regions facing climate change. The project addresses the specific challenges and requirements of twelve climate-vulnerable regions across Europe, each characterised by unique socioeconomic profiles. Within the scope of the project, adaptation solutions developed by RESIST regions are shared and transferred to other participating “receiving” regions.
This five-step methodology was created to support the transfer process among RESIST regions. It enables regions to gain a clear understanding of their innovative solutions, identify differences and similarities with other regions, and tailor these solutions to meet the needs and contexts of the receiving regions. While designed for the RESIST project, this methodology is broadly applicable to any context involving the transfer of climate adaptation solutions between regions.
