Sustainable Public Procurement Action Plan for Indian Railways

This report includes all documents produced as part of the project Sustainable Public Procurement Action Plan for Indian Railways: an action and implementation plan, policy analysis paper and scoping study.

The scoping study forms the basis for all consulting activities carried out by adelphi and Dr. Prasad Modak. The study presents the status of sustainable public procurement (SPP) in India and introduces the current SPP system. The policy analysis paper provides an overview of SPP initiatives in India, covering the public and private sectors.

The action plan makes short, medium and long-term recommendations on SPP for Indian railways. It forms the basis of the implementation plan. This consists of a detailed work program, which describes the roles and responsibilities of all actors, and explains all steps for the implementation of SPP in the Indian railway sector.
