To closely examine sustainable reinvestments in companies and their influencing factors, and to specifically promote these investments, it is worthwhile to look at the relevant actors who directly or indirectly influence the decision-making processes and decision-makers. These actors can be referred to as stakeholders.
The research project ENRI, funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), investigates the influencing factors for sustainable reinvestments in companies from an interdisciplinary perspective. As part of the project, a stakeholder mapping was developed based on various analyses, illustrating how different stakeholders impact companies and reinvestment decisions. The analyses considered include a literature review, two focus groups with policy experts, qualitative case studies of pioneering sustainable companies ("climate champions"), a qualitative analysis of interviews with those responsible for sustainability issues within companies, and quantitative analyses of a survey of company employees. The results of this mapping are succinctly presented in this article.
