As part of the project “Strengthening socio-ecological forms of coexistence and orientation towards the common good”, adelphi, the Institute for Social Innovation Consulting (ISIconsult) and the Leibniz Institute of Ecological Urban and Regional Development (IOER) have published ways to promote and support innovative initiatives aimed at the common good. The brochure is intended for actors from civil society, social enterprises as well as (environmental) politics and administration.
The associated final report (in German) addresses the contribution and potential of these initiatives for socio-ecological transformation. In this context, the project team identified framework conditions to support initiatives geared to the common good and presented recommendations for (environmental) political support measures. Examples of initiatives aimed at the common good include rental and swap exchanges, repair cafés, community gardens and food sharing initiatives.
