This study compares two instruments for sustainable management – the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) and the German Sustainability Codex (Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitskodex, DNK). It concludes that a combination of both systems creates synergies that can offer strategic value to users.
