In the framework of hosting SEED, adelphi implemented a project with financial support of the global legal practice Hogan Lovells. The overall objective of the project was to hand out the SEED Gender Equality Award 2013 to the most promising social and environmental enterprises that are women-led or owned, and prioritise gender equality or women’s empowerment as a core objective.
The winners received a financial contribution and professional counselling to strengthen and continuously improve innovative concepts to sustainable development, gender equality and women empowerment. Part of this support comprised the participation in the SEED Symposiums in Nairobi, Kenya in September 2014, organised and implemented by adelphi.
