For the second time, adelphi supported the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN) and the German Federal Environment Agency (UBA) in the implementation of the “Klaus-Töpfer – Fellowship Programme”, a young leadership programme on nature conservation for future decision makers from Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus region and Central Asia.
The programme was financed by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and comprised four 2-week training seminars conducted at the International Academy for Nature Conservation (INA) of BfN on current nature conservation topics between 2013 and 2015. The training seminars were designed as extra-occupational courses that both integrated management instruments and nature conservation topics to strengthen the participants’ ability to deal with current challenges in the field of nature conservation in their countries. During the whole programme duration, adelphi supported the participants in the elaboration of their transfer projects, a specific assignment that aimed at facilitating the transfer of the acquired knowledge into the individual work context of the fellows.
