Stakeholder consultation on the environmental dimension of the European Security Strategy

The aim of the conference "Integrating Environment, Development, and Conflict Prevention – European and National Approaches and Challenges" was to identify key issues, policies, and best practices. Additionally, it provided recommendations for the European Union and its Member States to address environment, development, and conflict prevention in their policies and programmes. The first conference brought a wide range of major stakeholders from the Member States together to integrate the existing activities at the national and European level, and into the European political policies and programmes.

adelphi advised the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as well as the Federal Foreign Office in preparing and documenting the conference and providing support throughout the session.
