Digitalisation is having a profound impact on various areas of life, and cities are increasingly recognising the potential of using digital technologies to overcome key challenges. In so-called smart cities, innovative technologies are used to provide intelligent solutions for urban development. Integrated concepts based on the individual needs and characteristics of the city show the best results.
For the second time, adelphi is developing a holistic smart city catalogue of measures in close cooperation with the city administration of Pirna. The aim is to make the city sustainable and fit for the future. The basis for this is an analysis of existing approaches and potential as well as the development of initial ideas for measures based on literature research and successful practical examples. The focus is on the question of how innovative (digital) technologies and approaches can contribute to creating a low-emission, sustainable city with a high quality of life.
As part of a transparent and dialogue-oriented process to create a catalogue of measures, adelphi conducts a workshop with employees of the city administration. A new catalogue of measures is developed in close cooperation with the city of Pirna, with particular emphasis placed on the formulation of concrete measures for rapid implementation in the short and medium term. The measures developed will enable the concept to be implemented smoothly and swiftly, thus forming the basis for Pirna's transformation into a smart city.
