For the second time, the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN), in close cooperation with the German Federal Environment Agency (UBA), ran a young leadership programme on nature conservation for future decision makers from Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus region and Central Asia.
The second course of the “Klaus-Töpfer – Fellowship Programme” was financed by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and comprised four 2-week training seminars that are conducted at the International Academy for Nature Conservation (INA) of BfN on current nature conservation topics between 2013 and 2015. The training seminars were designed as extra-occupational courses that both integrate management instruments and nature conservation topics to strengthen the participants’ ability to deal with current challenges in the field of nature conservation in their countries. adelphi was responsible for the overall facilitation of the four training modules and assists the BfN with the selection of professional trainers.
