The German Embassy in Ottawa displayed adelphi’s traveling exhibition "Environment, Conflict, and Cooperation" at various locations throughout Canada. The exhibition was shown within a two month period at Carlton University in Ottawa, the University of Manitoba and the University of Toronto. Side events included panel discussions, group discussions with students such as focusing on themes from the exhibition in seminars.
The exhibition aids the viewer in visualizing the serious impacts of global environmental change. The themes water, air, land, forests and minerals will be displayed to show how environmental degradation and resource scarcity lead to conflicts and new security risks as well as what contributes to environmental cooperation and sustainable development, peace and stability. The aim of this exhibition is to stimulate the public’s interest and awareness on this issue. Informative texts, images and graphics convey to the viewers concrete examples of the contents complex relationships.
