Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment, The Netherlands
The Dutch State Secretary for the Environment, Pieter Van Geel, launched adelphi's exhibition "Environment, Conflict, and Cooperation" on 7 March 2006, in the frame of a Civil Society and Public Forum, co-hosted by adelphi and the Institute for Environmental Security. The exhibition was presented in the lobby of the Dutch Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment in The Hague and aimed to foster an understanding of the interactions between environmental scarcity and degradation, conflict and cooperation amongst the public. Informative texts, pictures and charts in combination with video and audio features and interactive animations familiarised visitors with the complex content. In order to generate interest from local civil society institutions and the media, adelphi prepared a media and press kit as well as helped market the event and exhibition.
