The EU Ecolabel is the European Union's official label for products and services with excellent environmental performance. Thanks to strict and transparent environmental criteria, the EU Ecolabel helps consumers, retailers and businesses to make sustainable choices without compromising on quality. With the new European Green Claims Initiative, the EU Ecolabel is gaining further importance as a recognised ecolabel.
As a team of experts, adelphi supports the European Commission in the further development of the EU Ecolabel as a relevant tool to promote sustainable consumption and production. In the role of the EU Ecolabel Helpdesk, adelphi advises the European Commission on how to increase the market presence of the EU Ecolabel by raising acceptance and awareness in the industry. Furthermore, adelphi organises regular meetings of relevant stakeholders, implements decisions and improves the data quality of the EU Ecolabel Product Catalogue (ECAT). Furthermore, adelphi acts as a contact and helpdesk for members of the European Union Ecolabelling Board (EUEB), relevant bodies in the European partner countries, licence holders and interested companies, as well as consumers.
