As part of the project "Sharing knowledge: Capacity building for emissions trading systems" on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), the consortium lead by adelphi has implemented a virtual technical workshop on establishing an emissions trading system (ETS) in the power sector for stakeholders from Indonesia.
The two-day capacity building workshop was organised in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy in Berlin and focused on the institutional, legal and administrative foundations for an ETS in the power sector as well as several practical aspects of implementing such a system. Experts from the consortium partner institutions Öko-Institut, Ecologic, FutureCamp as well as the German Emissions Trading Authority (DEHSt) provided the Indonesian participants from both the private and public sector with their expertise and answered questions. This workshop represented already the fourth joint activity with Indonesia in the context of the CB ETS project and was received very positively by the participants and partners.
