On behalf of the European Commission, the Helpdesk provides information on EMAS (such as on the registration procedure, data and statistics) to stakeholders including companies, associations, environmental organisations and the general public. In addition, the Helpdesk supports the European Commission by developing and implementing marketing and communication activities.
In cooperation with BIO Intelligence Service, adelphi was responsible for the operation of the Helpdesk. Among the tasks in 2010 were Europe-wide public relations, development of a one-year Marketing Action Plan, the production and distribution of information material, support during the regular meetings of the EMAS Competent Body and the Regulatory Committee and the hosting of the EMAS website. The thematic focus was on the latest EMAS revision (EMAS III).
