Parallel to classical learning methods, ranging from typical classrooms to open workshops, the area of distributed learning systems was discovered by the international development community as an additional approach in capacity building. The differences of these systems are mostly in the way they communicate with the user, the complexity of developing the solutions and the technical implementation.
On behalf of InWEnt Capacity Building International, adelphi was entrusted with the challenging task of developing a long-term concept for future training courses in the environmental area of “privatisation of wastewater management” for developing countries. The project envisaged the identification of relevant service providers of innovative solutions, the validation of existing solutions and the development of a concept for future training course modules. Furthermore, adelphi developed the terms of references and assessed the resources involved in implementing the pilot project.
