Europe on the ground means not only free movement of people and goods across national borders or cooperation between member states and major cities. It rather means and requires manifold interdependencies at all levels between the individual countries. Such a diverse European network has a positive impact on the spatial development of regions and cities and is an engine for European integration. Valuable cooperation and partnerships between European regions and (even smaller) cities are built on shared concerns and interests.
The project will highlight successful models and inspire further European networking. Through a competition, it already identifies diverse networked regions and cities and distinguishes them from the media. The competition is accompanied by a study and transferable practical examples and research results in a publication comprehensible processed.
adelphi carries out the conception and implementation of the competition as well as the accompanying research on networking in Germany.
