Capacity-Building Training for Public Stakeholders on Green Industry

Policymakers in Jordan are gradually embracing the concept of a green industry and are hence working on gearing policies towards more sustainable approaches, including the implementation of resource-efficient and environmentally friendly production processes on firm level. The GAIN project has conducted in cooperation with the Royal Scientific Society (RSS) a relevant pre-assessment based on which the topics of the three training modules have been selected for this assignment:

(i) Circular Economy and RECP;

(ii) EU Green Deal and Green Supply Chains;

(iii) Green Industrial Policy and Its Indicators.

It also identified existing knowledge gaps within key stakeholder institutions when it comes to these topics. The goal of this assignment will therefore be to capacitate decision-makers in key governmental and non-governmental institutions through hands-on trainings in order for these stakeholders to accelerate their impact on Jordan’s green industrial transition.
