Capacity building for energy efficiency in India

Within this three-year project, adelphi assisted the Indian Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and its federal partner institutions with the upgrade of their consulting and advanced training capacities. A nationwide management system for skill advancement and energy efficiency was established and the methodological and didactical expertise within the organisations strengthened in the process. On study trips to Germany, the BEE personnel gained additional skills in energy efficiency in buildings and in the industry, strengthening their capacity to implement projects in their respective federal states.

The Indian partner institutions were also involved in an international exchange of expertise through study trips, international events as well as dialogue and knowledge platforms. Furthermore, the regional exchange of experience was strengthened and a dialogue process on energy efficiency established.
