How can cities plan climate protection projects more strategically? Which forms of action are suitable for them? Where is potential for local climate protection? These questions will be discussed at the Zukunftsforum Energiewende in Kassel on 20-21 November.
adelphi is co-organizer of the Zukunftsforum Energiewende, the biggest congress for actors of decentralized energy system transformation in Germany. Representatives from local and state politics, administration, business and science meet here to jointly set new impulses for energy system transformation and climate protection. In addition to numerous forums, workshops and panel discussions, the two-day event, which has been organised annually since 2017 by deENet and partners in Kassel, offers an attractive supporting programme with a trade exhibition, practical excursions and an exclusive evening event. At this year's Zukunftsforum Energiewende in Kassel adelphi's expert team offers two workshops.

This workshop is aimed at anyone who wants to respond quickly and react calmly in critical situations.

Strengthen regional climate action – that is what the business model canvas, which is adapted to climate protection, is all about. The canvas is a project-planning matrix that supports municipalities and regional stakeholders in the joint, structured planning of climate protection projects. The canvas originated in the NKI project COUNTRY - DISTRICT - MUNICIPALITY and not only takes CO2 reduction into account, but also economic efficiency and the common good. The tool helps municipalities create a quick overview of exisisting potential, options and essential components for climate action as well as successfully communicate their projects.
