From 29 November to 10 December, adelphi and the Technical University Wildau are organising a two weeks training in the field of “energy efficiency in the building industry” in Berlin.
The course belongs to a three-part training cycle in the context of the InWEnt-programme on “Energy Efficiency in Buildings – capacity building in energy-efficiency of building envelopes in the Maghreb region”. It is targeted to professionals executives from Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia, who work in vocational education, in the construction industry, and in energy agencies, and who will later act as multipliers. This practise orientated advanced training supports participants improving the conditions for energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies in buildings.
The building sector worldwide is an important factor in limiting global climate change and assuring energy security. The use of polluting and inefficient materials, as well as insufficient thermal insulation, leads to waste of valuable commercial assets and energy. Expert and appropriate building and renovating, in addition to the use of resource-conserving technologies, are crucial and can make a significant contribution to climate protection.
Based on this course’s foundation, two further trainings will be offered, the first in Tunisia in January, the second in Berlin in March, 2011.
