We refuse to lose faith in our collective ability to build a better world.
We at adelphi are shocked, distressed and angry to see the war in Ukraine unfold. The unprovoked and unjustified military invasion of Ukraine by Putin’s regime is a crime of aggression with terrible humanitarian consequences. It undermines European as well as global security and stability.
Over the past two decades, our staff at adelphi have sought to contribute to fostering peace and security, promoting rule-based multilateral policy making and strengthening liberal democracy. As an organisation with numerous ties to Eastern Europe and colleagues, friends and family members from Ukraine, we feel directly affected by this criminal act of war.
We stand with the people of Ukraine and those in Russia who oppose this war. We will continue to invest in diplomacy, and we refuse to lose faith in our collective ability to build a better world.
