Until the end of 2014, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs will be promoting guided introductions of energy management systems into mid-sized companies. To ensure that as many companies as possible can profit from this, adelphi will this November be offering three online beginner's courses.
Since 2013, the law in Germany has required that companies who wish to benefit from the cap on energy and electricity tax (ecotax) must implement an energy management system according to ISO 50001 or EMAS. If the requirements for a gradual introduction were still relatively easy to fulfil, they have become more demanding from 2014. In addition to the analysis of energy sources, companies must now also analyse all energy-consuming devices. From 2015, the identification and implementation of appropriate measures is also required in order to continue to benefit from the tax cap.
In order to simplify the adoption of energy management systems for businesses, adelphi will this November be offering the online course series "Step by step towards systematic energy management in the workplace". With this free course, energy managers will be enabled to effectively deploy instruments developed by adelphi and to implement appropriate measures independently. Participants in the course will also receive at no cost newly developed guidelines and software solutions for independent energy management. The courses will be taking place on the following dates:
1. Systematic Energy Management: The Basics Wednesday 5th November, 11am-12pm
2. Evaluating Energy Wednesday 12th November, 11am-12pm
3. Identifying Potential Savings Wednesday 19th November, 11am-12pm
This consultation offer is supported by German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS). However, as BMAS funding expires at the end of 2014, prompt action is requested. Those who wish to take part in the online courses can register until 29.10.2014 at the latest here (links in German):
