Realising solar visions

Power from solar plants in the Middle East and Northern Africa is attracting wide attention among decision- makers among international development organisations, financing institutions, and corporations and private sector companies.

adelphi on behalf of KfW Entwicklungsbank as well as ONE and MASEN organizes the Casablanca Forum on this topic. Stakeholders from governments, experts on renewable energy and companies discuss solar power in the MENA-region on June 15th and 16th 2010. The international conference aims to combine visions of large scale photovoltaic and concentrated solar power with reality. Political, economic and regulative consequences for the development of solar plants and integration of solar power in national and regional power grids are identified. Numerous podium discussions and expert speeches as well as exchange of ideas are the main pillars of the Casablanca Forum.
