In her study "Global Governance and Corporate Responsibility in Conflict Zones", Moira Feil highlights the different political and theoretical expectations for the engagement and governance contributions of corporations. The case studies from beverage production, telecommunications and petrol distribution in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo show that companies are by now quite aware of their responsibility, but have yet to make direct governance contributions to security in the region.
This PhD dissertation was completed as part of a project of the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF), which analyzed the role of transnational corporations in conflict zones.
