A new training programme for Nepalese professionals and managers will begin in early March with a planning workshop in Kathmandu
The goal is to increase energy efficiency through developing training and consulting capacities, especially in the industry, building and household appliance sectors. Target groups are mainly the Nepalese Bureau of standards and Metrology (NBSM), the Alternative Energy Promotion Center (AEPC), the Water and Energy Commission Secretariat (WECS) and the Federation of the Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI). Furthermore, trainings and workshops will be conducted, a capacity building programme for South Asia developed, training materials created, network dialogues initiated and an internet platform for dialogues established. The project will be jointly carried out by adelphi and InWEnt and implemented in close cooperation with the GTZ in the field. The responsible partner for the programme in Nepal is the Water and Energy Commission Secretariat .
