As part of the promotion of the programme, which provides Energy Efficiency loans and implements a certification process for energy efficient building projects in India, adelphi and its Indian project partners have designed and launched the official programme website.
The website provides quick and easy access on comprehensive information for the general public, and particularly for home buyers, building developers and financial institutions interested in the Energy Efficiency Homes Programme. The user friendly surface allows the visitor to easily navigate through the menu and the respective stakeholder pages provide information and explanations on how to benefit and participate in the programme. In addition, the website offers a number of complementary downloadable documents such as best practice case studies, the brochure and a list of certified buildings.
The Energy Efficient Homes Programme is jointly implemented by the German development bank KfW Entwicklungsbank and the National Housing Bank (NHB) of India. Through a credit line of 50 million Euro provided by KfW, NHB is refinancing individual home buyer loans for energy efficient new apartments that are substantially more energy efficient than the benchmark apartment.
adelphi in cooperation with its Indian partners supports KfW and NHB in implementing the programme through assistance in identification and certification of developments, further development of energy efficiency loan products in the housing sector, marketing and branding of the NHB product, as well as training and capacity building.
