Today adelphi presented the climate navigator prototype to a wider group of experts. The presentation took place during the "Federal Research on adaptation strategies towards climate change" conference hosted by The Federal Environment Agency (UBA) in Dessau.
The climate navigator supports local authorities and companies in Germany to prepare for the impacts of climate change. With this online tool, users can interact and manage different components to create an effective adaptation strategy in only five steps.
The guidelines used to design the tool were created from the outcomes and key findings obtained from the “Managing the opportunities and risks of climate change in Germany”. This project was realized for the Competence Centre on Global Warming and Adaption, an affiliated institution of the UBA. The prototype can be tested online until the 15th of September 2010.
