More than 100 international experts participated in the second Energy Forum in Frankfurt/Main. The focus of the event, which was hosted by the German KfW Development Bank, where challenges and best practice examples in the field of energy efficiency in public buildings.
On November 7 and 8, 2013 the German KfW Development Bank hosted the Second Energy Forum within its premises in Frankfurt/Main, Germany. Participants from national governments, municipalities, financial institutions as well as international development organisations and energy service companies (ESCOs) discussed intensely how to promote and implement energy efficiency programmes in their countries. Key issues including financing, the role of ESCOs and specific sectors such as schools or hospitals were further examined in dedicated interactive working group sessions. The intense interaction of experts and representatives from more than 20 countries created a lively working atmosphere in which experiences were exchanged and solutions to prevailing challenges could be further advanced. The Forum concluded with site visits to an energy efficient public school and hospital in Frankfurt/Main.
