Beyond that, pilot projects for the implementation of more energy efficient and renewable energy technologies as well as activities for the adaptation and protection of the coastal zone are to be realised.
The results of this project should subsequently be transmitted by the Ministry of Tourism to other regions in Indonesia. The project is supported within the framework of the International Climate Protection Initiative of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and is initially planned for three years.
