Energy expenditure is driving up costs in the hotel and catering industry. In cooperation with DEHOGA Berlin, adelphi will hold a forum at the energy efficiency conference Berliner Energietage 2012 to explore issues concerning sustainable and efficient energy management.
The tariffs charged by energy providers for heating and power have soared over the last few years and it has become virtually impossible to calculate costs. Hoteliers and restaurateurs therefore need innovative solutions, such as sustainable lighting concepts and modern commercial kitchen and heat supply systems in order to cut expenditure and remain competitive.
On 23 May adelphi will join forces with the Berlin Hotel and Restaurant Association (DEHOGA Berlin) at the Berliner Energietage 2012 to give a series of presentations on key issues concerning “Energy efficiency in the hotel and catering industry”. Guided by DEHOGA's energy and environmental concept, experts from various professional associations will provide information on the latest technological developments, such as intelligent control systems for commercial kitchens, combined heat and power units for alternative energy supply and energy-efficient lighting systems. Energy management training for employees is also on the agenda.
DEHOGA’s energy and environmental concept was developed by adelphi and is supported by the Federal Environment Ministry.
