Can hotels improve their energy efficiency by linking in with learning networks? This question was the focus of adelphi’s "Energy networks in the Hospitality Industry" study.
The study, developed in the context of the Federal Ministry of Environment’s ®LEEN (Local Energy Efficiency Networks) project, clearly shows that energy networks offer a useful approach for large parts of the hotel industry. Furthermore, the study outlines options for using potential synergies between such industry-specific energy-efficiency networks, the DEHOGA hospitality industry energy campaign, and the existing LEEN project. Based on surveys from the hospitality industry energy campaign, the study also provides a detailed and thorough overview of energy saving potentials in the hotel and catering industry.
