With its recently passed national CSR strategy the German Federal Government seeks to enhance the credibility and visibility of Corporate Social Responsibility. The central element of the action plan is the development of a quality label "CSR - Made in Germany", with conceptual support by adelphi.
The action plan builds on existing initiatives and networks on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the Federal Government, businesses, and civil society to make the issue more known and better established. In all, more companies are to be won over for more socially, ecologically, and economically responsible behaviour, especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs). To this end, a new concept will be created in the next couple of weeks that connects the term “CSR - Made in Germany” internationally with the product quality and sense of responsibility of the German economy.
adelphi will support this strategy issue with a study containing interviews with protagonists from Germany and abroad as well as the results of a workshop with relevant stakeholders. It will thereby present scenarios and initial recommendations for the implementation of the quality label.
