The 16th International Business Forum by GIZ in Istanbul ended with exciting news: the announcement of the jury-elected Winners of the CHANGING Markets Award.
adelphi implemented the CHANGING Markets Award on behalf of GIZ. Out of a total of 130 applications, 10 enterprises from India, Uganda, Ghana, Peru, Vietnam, and Ecuador from various sectors were selected for demonstrating convincing and quantifiable environmental impacts and benefitting people living at the BoP, and thus driving a transformation towards a green and inclusive economy.
Before presenting their business models to the jury and the audience of the IBF, the finalists took part in an intense 2-day capacity building workshop developed and facilitated by adelphi. In a third day after the IBF, finalists discussed their experiences and options for further exchange and collaboration.
The decision of the jury was based on the jury pitch and a Q&A session, the application, and the additional material, including business plans. Winners receive a monetary prize of 5,000 Euro. The winners chosen by the jury are Banka Bioloo (India), Ciudad Saludable (India) and Tara Machines (India). The audience award, the sponsorship of a sustainability workshop, went to Technology for Tomorrow (Uganda).
