Greater spread of innovative climate technologies has the potential to create new market opportunities in emerging and developing countries while minimizing the risks and effects of climate change. Adelphi developed six case studies on innovative business models in the field of climate change mitigation and adaptation.
The objective of this project is to feature forward-looking businesses that present innovative products, services and technologies for mitigation and adaptation to climate change in developing and emerging countries. The case studies are part of the GIZ project "Dissemination of Climate Technologies for Mitigation and Adaptation with the Private Sector" which focuses on building capacity among business representatives concerning the challenges and opportunities related to climate change. Some of the business cases were selected among the winners of the IMPACT Business Award , an international challenge which was implemented by adelphi in late 2011.
The case studies will be presented in the frame of the 15th International Business Forum in South Africa in October 2012.
