The brochure entitled “Climate Protection in Figures” aims to explain government environmental efforts to a broad public in a comprehensible way. adelphi will produce the publication on behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. The first of three editions will be released in 2013.
Ambitious targets have been set in public policy: By the year 2020, greenhouse gas emissions are to be reduced by 40 percent compared to 1990, and by as much 80 to 95 percent by 2050. However, non-experts often have difficulties understanding exactly how this reduction should be achieved. In order to clarify the Federal Government’s efforts in the area of climate protection, adelphi is developing the brochure “Climate Protection in Figures” for the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU). The work will be modelled on the earlier publication, “Renewable Energy in Figures”.
The brochure explains major climate-protection issues, addresses related topics including renewable energies and energy efficiency, and illustrates positive effects, such as on economic performance.
