Projects are in the pipeline to cut the energy consumption of buildings in Algeria. adelphi is organising a one-week study tour to provide Algerian experts with an overview of energy-efficient construction methods in Germany, which will enable them to train specialists in Algeria.
In order to take full advantage of the potential to conserve energy, it is essential to have specially trained personnel in key positions. Training and further training institutions in Algeria plan to develop these capacities. On behalf of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), adelphi is organising a seven-day study tour at the beginning of November as part of a capacity-building project to provide information on modern building envelope technologies.
The participants from Algerian universities, research institutions and other educational facilities will receive a comprehensive overview of the various vocational education options. The programme will include specialist lectures and trips to a range of educational institutions in Berlin, Chemnitz, Dresden and Zwickau, as well as tours of model projects in public and private apartment complexes.
