adelphi at the fourth round of negotiations for a treaty to combat plastic pollution

adelphi was involved in the organisation of three Side Events at the COP17 and is also represented in Durban by the exhibition "Environment, Conflict, and Cooperation" (ECC). In focus are the growth of the global carbon market, the role of municipal climate protection strategies, the prospects of various approaches to climate diplomacy and further topics in the fields of environment, conflict and cooperation.
The official opening of the expanded exhibition “Environment, Conflict, and Cooperation” (ECC) will take place on 7 December on the COP17 exhibition grounds, supported by the Federal Foreign Office in collaboration with its South African partner, OneWorld. In addition, adelphi will support the International Carbon Action Partnership with its Side Event “Emissions Trading Around the World: Achievements and Prospects” in the EU Pavilion on 7 December.
This will be followed on 8 December by the Side Event “Climate Diplomacy in Perspective: From Early warning to Early Action”, organised by the Federal Foreign Office in cooperation with the Foreign Commonwealth Office and adelphi.
On 1 December adelphi already supported and hosted a Side Event with the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and the Climate Alliance on the importance of municipalities for achieving German emission reduction targets.
