A Climate Policy Nightmare Looms in the USA

Small and medium-sized enterprises in India need to deal with climate change impacts on their businesses, is the conclusion of a study led by adelphi for GIZ. The Think-Tank examined climate trends in India and presented analytical approaches for assessing climate risks in the private sector
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are particularly affected by climate change impacts. Blackouts and floods are already today threats to their competitiveness. This situation aggravates existing problems of the Indian SME sector, including limited financing opportunities and inadequate infrastructure.
adelphi conducted the study regarding climate change risks for Indian SME for GIZ and in cooperation with Indian SME associations. The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), a longtime cooperation partner of GIZ, supported publishing the study. Its target group are businesses, business associations, consultancies, banks and policy-makers in India. The study aims to initiate a dialogue on climate change which includes the private sector perspective.
